We believe that anyone can learn to code!
After having been introduced to visual as well as the basics of written code, your kids can deepen their programming skills with this optional module by increasingly focusing on written programming. By creating different games and animations, your child will get familiar with matrices, recursive functions, and their use cases.
After having completed this module, your child can continue their journey on the path to professional coding through increasingly challenging modules. The course is also useful for acquiring life skills besides coding, such as algorithmic and analytical thinking.
What will your child learn:
Practicing the previously acquired programming skills with increased focus on written coding
Learning the concept of recursion through drawings and mathematical sequences (e.g. Fibonacci)
Programming games using recursion (e.g. Towers of Hanoi)
Learning how to code a labyrinth using the Backtrack algorithm
Using matrices and 2 dimensional arrays to create interesting games
Editing and creating written commands to program their projects
Deepening knowledge of the StageScript programming language and its syntaxes

Technical requirements
For online courses: A laptop or a computer with internet connection and a Chrome browser, plus a built-in or external microphone. We recommend having a headset and a webcam too.
The software needed for online communication and coding is provided by us.
