3D Design Camp

3D Design Camp

This camp introduces kids to 3D modeling via Tinkercad, a user-friendly software designed specifically for educational purposes. Participants will tackle projects to design 3D objects and get a glimpse of 3D printing and laser cutting. Perfect for beginners, the camp truly inspires future digital creators.

Our 3D Design camp opens a gateway between the digital and the physical world. With us, kids discover how to design and modify 3D objects, exploring the basics of 3D printing and laser cutting technologies without the need to master production processes. Let your child join us to transform their imagination into tangible creations and to take the first step into the vast possibilities of digital design.

The camp centers around the following themes:

Creative Problem-Solving: The camp emphasizes the development of problem-solving skills through the design and modification of 3D objects, encouraging children to think outside the box.

Technology and Innovation: Kids are introduced to the latest in 3D printing and laser cutting technologies, learning about its history, and understanding their applications in today's industrial and creative fields.

Project-Based Learning: Each day is centered around projects that build on the previous one, from 3D sketches into more complex building plans, fostering a hands-on learning experience.

Digital Literacy and Future Skills: The camp aims to equip children with essential digital literacy skills, starting with the basics of 3D modeling, learning how to navigate and utilize Tinkercad to create their first simple designs.

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this camp.

Necessary software

  • For our in-Logiscool camps: We provide all the necessary tools for the camp.
  • In case, the school opens online camps: To participate in the online camps, kids will need a laptop or a computer at home with a solid internet connection, plus a built-in or external microphone. We recommend having a headset and a web camera too. All the necessary software is provided by us. With information on how to install the software, our school leaders will contact you prior to the camp.

Detailed Information

Technical details

Camps are held between 4 - 9 April during the spring vacation, as well as June 5 - September 8 during the summer break. We are waiting for kids aged 6-18 in our 5-day camps!

Dates: Our camps run from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:00, depending on the type of camp.

Arrival and departure: Arrival is possible from 8:30 and we can provide supervision until 17:15 at the latest.

Board: We provide children with lunch and snacks. Please indicate any possible food allergies your children might have at the time of registration. We can provide a lactose or gluten free menu.

Camp types

Full-day camp: Students take part in our camp specific program in one half of the day, while we provide them with a leisure program in the second half of the day. We use several locations: the location of Logiscool, Tsar Simeonov's garden Park and others. The professional session and leisure program can be in the morning or in the afternoon, the exact schedule will be sent with the confirmatiom of your registration.

Leisure programs: In addition to the thematic programs, a variety of leisure activities await children: plenty of games, bowling, badminton, frisbee, table tennis, football, basketball, popular line games, live- action roleplaying games and an overall cool atmosphere! Our trained animators and pedagogical camp leaders ensure their safety! Our goal is to introduce camping children to varied programs in addition to the ""professional programs"" and coding. On top of training their brains, we make sure that exercise, sports and teamwork are part of their daily activities as well. The leisure program is a half-day, held before or after the themed program (i.e., morning or afternoon).

Half-Day Camp: At our half-day camp, students attend a professional program at Logiscool, which can be in the morning (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or in the afternoon (1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.) plus lunch. The exact schedule will be sent with the confirmatiom of your registration.

Meals: Lunch and snacks will be provided.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MINECRAFT CAMPS: prices do not include the official access to Minecraft that all children attending Minecraft camps will need (Computer / PC / Java edition). Purchased access remains the property of the child. The license can be purchased here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition

PARKING: Our school is in center of Plovdiv across from Dobrin Petkov National School of Music and Dance. You can park on the street, but keep in mind it is a blue zone

Due to COVID-19, we pay special attention to compliance with hygiene rules:

  • We pay attention to personal hygiene during the camps.

  • We also disinfect the equipment during group changes and we also regularly ventilate the classrooms and the common room.

  • Our school offers small group education, so a maximum of 12 people (and one teacher) are in a room at the same time.

PRICES

PRICES:

  • All-day camp-school: 275 BGN.

PAYMENT. PAYMENT. Once we receive your registration request, we will contact you with the information needed to pay your deposit. If we are unable to hold the selected camp-school, we will give you the option to select another date or type of camp-school or refund the deposit paid.

We reserve the right to make changes to the advertised camps!
