LEGO SPIKE Prime Camp

Here, the focus is on originality and invention! With the help of LEGO SPIKE, kids will find creative solutions to real-life problems, letting them become environmental, health and even electric automobile engineers.

Inventing the future today

This time we look at STEAM fields from a creative, robotics perspective! We will help develop our campers' problem-solving and algorithmic thinking abilities by diving into genuine engineering problems in a variety of fields. With the help of LEGO SPIKE robots, our Scoolers will be able to invent weather sensing machines, electric vehicles, and health monitoring devices. While building their inventions, kids will learn basic programming skills such as conditions, loops, and variables.

Getting to know the overall product design process: prototyping, testing, repair

Block programming in LEGO Spike Prime software: learning programming basics: conditions, loops, variables

Tracking and sorting using a color sensor

Using motors and sensors to program vehicles

Creating weather forecasts from qualitative and quantitative data using the robot

Creating robots to maintain a healthy lifestyle with movement data

Requirements

Kids do not need any previous training or knowledge to complete this camp.

Detailed Information

Technical details

Camps are held between 4 - 9 April during the spring vacation, as well as June 5 - September 8 during the summer break. We are waiting for kids aged 6-18 in our 5-day camps!

Dates: Our camps run from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:00, depending on the type of camp.

Arrival and departure: Arrival is possible from 8:30 and we can provide supervision until 17:15 at the latest.

Board: We provide children with lunch and snacks. Please indicate any possible food allergies your children might have at the time of registration. We can provide a lactose or gluten free menu.

Camp types

Full-day camp: Students take part in our camp specific program in one half of the day, while we provide them with a leisure program in the second half of the day. We use several locations: the location of Logiscool, Tsar Simeonov's garden Park and others. The professional session and leisure program can be in the morning or in the afternoon, the exact schedule will be sent with the confirmatiom of your registration.

Leisure programs: In addition to the thematic programs, a variety of leisure activities await children: plenty of games, bowling, badminton, frisbee, table tennis, football, basketball, popular line games, live- action roleplaying games and an overall cool atmosphere! Our trained animators and pedagogical camp leaders ensure their safety! Our goal is to introduce camping children to varied programs in addition to the ""professional programs"" and coding. On top of training their brains, we make sure that exercise, sports and teamwork are part of their daily activities as well. The leisure program is a half-day, held before or after the themed program (i.e., morning or afternoon).

Half-Day Camp: At our half-day camp, students attend a professional program at Logiscool, which can be in the morning (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or in the afternoon (1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.) plus lunch. The exact schedule will be sent with the confirmatiom of your registration.

Meals: Lunch and snacks will be provided.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MINECRAFT CAMPS: prices do not include the official access to Minecraft that all children attending Minecraft camps will need (Computer / PC / Java edition). Purchased access remains the property of the child. The license can be purchased here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition

PARKING: Our school is in center of Plovdiv across from Dobrin Petkov National School of Music and Dance. You can park on the street, but keep in mind it is a blue zone

Due to COVID-19, we pay special attention to compliance with hygiene rules:

  • We pay attention to personal hygiene during the camps.

  • We also disinfect the equipment during group changes and we also regularly ventilate the classrooms and the common room.

  • Our school offers small group education, so a maximum of 12 people (and one teacher) are in a room at the same time.

PRICES:

  • All-day camp-school: 275 BGN.

PAYMENT. PAYMENT. Once we receive your registration request, we will contact you with the information needed to pay your deposit. If we are unable to hold the selected camp-school, we will give you the option to select another date or type of camp-school or refund the deposit paid.

We reserve the right to make changes to the advertised camps!
