Foundation for Digital Knowledge
In our rapidly evolving, technology-driven world, digital literacy is essential to ensure that future generations are not just passive users of the digital realm but also active creators. The Foundation for Digital Knowledge works to empower as many children as possible to become digitally literate and learn to code, as we believe this is the key to their future success.
With the support of our partners, our programs bring the joy of coding and digital literacy to thousands of children every year, and our goal is to reach even more. You can contribute to this noble cause through corporate sponsorship, individual donations, or by dedicating 1% of your personal income tax.

Our Projects
On May 22, 2025, our foundation will organize the country’s largest digital team competition for the 5th time, which has already attracted over 7,000 primary school students.
During the Great Digital Adventure, 3rd-4th and 5th-6th graders from nearly 30 locations across Budapest and other regions will compete to showcase their knowledge. While the exciting competition physically takes place in schools, it is conducted online, with teams competing simultaneously at all locations. Teams of three have one hour to complete fun, online challenges related to the digital world, logical and algorithmic thinking, internet safety, and artificial intelligence. The competition emphasizes digital skills, logical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Participants in the Great Digital Adventure are rewarded with valuable experiences and prizes. Last year’s grand prize was a trip to London, including a visit to Google’s London office, while the second-place teams won Logiscool summer camps.
Our foundation is committed to supporting disadvantaged students or those with disabilities to help them begin learning to code. For these students, this knowledge can open the door to real career opportunities, giving them the chance to explore and embrace programming.
Through these programs, supported by corporate sponsors and their employee volunteers, we provide coding education to thousands of children annually. For example, under the 'Hour of Code' initiative, we’ve brought the joy of coding to children with physical disabilities, visual and hearing impairments, and even those living in juvenile correction facilities, thanks to Microsoft’s support. In places like Szendrőlád, Pécs, Szombathely, multiple districts in Budapest, and several locations in Fejér County, the IT Services, Aptiv Hungary, and Siemens are supporting the education of disadvantaged children.
Our foundation aims to inspire more girls to take an interest in programming from a young age. By doing so, we hope to break down stereotypes associated with the field and encourage more girls to consider careers in IT-related fields. One of our flagship programs, specifically aimed at girls, is the Microsoft-supported DigiGirlz AI Challenge. This initiative reaches hundreds of girls annually and received the HR Best Gold Award in 2020.
