EU Study: Digital Literacy Gaps Among 14-Year-Olds
A study by the European Commission reveals that 43% of 14-year-old students across the EU lack basic digital skills. Students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds consistently outperform their peers, underscoring the influence of parental education levels and home resources. Notably, girls outperform boys by 7.9% on average, yet women constitute only 20% of ICT specialists in the EU. (European Commission, European Education Area)
